Back to league action after the Easter break and the boys were raring to go for the first of their last 5 league games. The sun shone on Elmwood and the game kicked off with both teams keen to make their presence felt. It was end to end football with both teams cancelling each other out. Shots were coming in from both teams but neither could find the back of the net. As the half went on Maldon did eventually break through and got that all important first goal.

This week there 10 boys available for selection Lukas Darby was in goal and put on a solid display again, Mitchell Dean and Tommy Unwin worked hard together in defence, trapping the attacking Pumas. Connor Unwin joined them later and continued the good work. Midfielders William Putt, Josh Jones and George Bass really worked up a sweat today moving up and down the field in the warm Sunday sunshine. Jake Miall joined them later out on the right and went on some attacking runs. Daniel Woolmer continued with his new found position as striker and put some venom into his shots. Harry Blenkarn worked well too up front and got the Tigers equalising goal today.

The Tigers came out for the second half and it took just under a minute for Harry Blenkarn to equalise after Connor fed the ball through on 26 minutes. The game was then up for grabs with both teams pushing for the win, with the woodwork doing it's best to prevent it! The second goal didn't materialise and the draw was probably the right result today. There was some injury time when the Pumas no. 8 took a boot in the head - we wish him a speedy recovery. Thanks once again to Andrew Franklin for refereeing the game in a very fair manner.

Man of the Match: Daniel Woolmer - Really gave 100% both upfront and when in midfield. Great work Dan.
