Josh Jones (6)
William Putt (27)

The Tigers were back at their familiar surroundings of Elmwood after a month on the road. The pitch looked great and ready for action and so too were the boys who got that all important early goal. The Tigers were awarded a corner, William Putt whipped the ball in and Josh Jones headed perfectly on 6 minutes, a definite contender for Goal of the Month.

The boys showed us all what they're capable of and putting on a determined performance. Both teams were going for the win, the next goal was going to be very important. It was end to end for much of the half with challenges being made but the Tigers looked very comfortable on the ball. After the half time break the Tigers continued where they left off, this time Josh came down the right flank and put the ball in the box, it spilled out to the other side where William Putt collected it and tapped home for 2 - 0 on 27 minutes. The Tigers stepped up a gear now and kept on pushing. Connor went on one of his special runs down the right, drilled the ball in right on the Yellows touchline, unfortunately it caught a Braintree player on the way through and the ball ended up in the goal on 36 minutes. Tiger saw the game out and took this important cup game win.

The whole team made an excellent contribution this week which included Lukas Darby in goal who kept a clean sheet. Defenders Mitchell Dean, Connor Unwin and Tommy Unwin, all three were sure and solid as always. Midfielders Daniel Woolmer, William Putt, Josh Jones and Jake Miall all worked hard up and down the field. Finally the strikers Daniel Whitley, George Bass and Josh Jones for a while really threatened the Braintree keeper throughout the game. A great team effort today Boys!

Man of the Match: Jake Miall, worked wonders down the right and oozed confidence in his play, well done.
Player of the Month: Mitchell Dean, Consistent, solid and reliable week in - week out in the top flight. Really well deserved Mitchell.
