TIGERS ARE TAMED IN SCORE DRAW
Focus Ferrers Tigers U10 2 - 2 Sporting 77 Pumas
Daniel Whitley (44)
Connor Unwin (45)
It was back to league action for the Tigers this week and an encounter with old rivals Sporting 77. The boys were keen to start finding the back of the net after coming so close in last weeks game. The boys started bright and saw early possession but it was clear to see that Sporting were going to make it hard to get through their busy defensive lines.
Frustration soon set in for the Tigers as they were not able to turn possession into goal scoring opportunities. Half time came and went with the all too familiar team talk. Substitutions were made in abundance but alas the Tigers could not click to get the game going how they wanted it. The deadlock was broken on 44 minutes when Tigers won a corner and after a goal mouth scramble Daniel Whitley poked the ball over the line for his second of the season, well done Daniel. Soon after, Tigers won another corner and Daniel Woolmer whipped in an excellent ball for Connor Unwin to head home with total determination on 45 minutes. At last the Tigers were 2 - 0 up with a few minutes to go. Then in a mad five minutes Sporting attacked hard, Tigers did not make the challenges and conceded two quick goals and two vital league points. Back to the drawing board next week.
Today's team featured Lukas Darby in goal with a few important stops although wasn't really that pressured by the Sporting attackers. Mitchell Dean, Tommy Unwin and Harry Blenkarn did their work at the back, the midfield consisted of Jake Miall, Josh Jones, Daniel Woolmer and William Putt whilst Daniel Whitley and George Bass lead at the front.
Man of the Match: Harry Blenkarn. Slotted into right back and had to make those all important tackles. Well Done!

The score was 2-2.
