Match report

hawks lose in the rain!!!!!!!!!! This was a tough game for the boys but coming off back to back wins they were full of confidence, starting line up of liam bull in goal,henry and liam barratt in defence,captain david,tyler and jimbo in the middle and bren up front. With the weather playing havoc and the heavens opening up ten minutes before kick off this was always going to be a test for the boys, The game got underway with the hawks straight on the front foot and a early chance for bren who shoots just wide, Then heybridge straight on the attack blast there first shot wide this rearly was a end to end start, opening ten minutes was anyones game and just goes to show how far the hawks have come in the last few weeks, Then heybridge put a good move together which saw there striker one on one with liam and slotted the ball in the right hand side of the goal 1 0 heybridge, The hawks came back but could not get the break david coming close and bren also going close, heybridge also came close then with two minutes of the first half left they got there second with an unstoppable shot 2 0 heybridge halftime !!!!!!!! The constant rain was playing havoc on the hawks and 4 mins into the second half changes had to be made, with liam no longer able to feel his hands and feet (i need to put more layers on him) having to come off and aaron coming on and ronnie who was playing well on the pitch stepping in goal for liam, tyler going off we got underway again, But two minutes later we were 3 down another good goal from the heybridge striker, then the weather claimed its next victim with david frozen solid and having to come off then aaron who also fell victim to what has to be said awfull conditions we were down to 6 players, Tyler coming back on this was going to be tuff, The hawks kept battling and came close again but the man advantage was to much against a good heybridge team and conceaded another two in the last 4 minutes ending up losing 5 0. henry and liam barratt are starting to strike up a great understanding and with jimbo david tyler and bren who ran the front line superb along with arron ross (who could not play today)ronnie liam and new signing kian the hawks will start getting the results WELL DONE BOYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to the heybridge team for a great match played in great spirit (and one of the dads of heybridge for giving the hawks some match attacks thank you) And thanks barry for being the ref another fine job cheers The score was 0-5.
