Focus Ferrers kicked off on a blustery November morning. They made a fantastic start. David, James and Brennen put pressure on the Southminster keeper with 3 attacks in the first 5mins. Focus Ferrers managed to keep the ball in the Southminster half and pushed for an early corner which resulted in a very near miss. After 10mins Southminster made their first attempt of attacking the Focus Ferrers goal, but were intercepted by a strong midfield of Ross, David and James. Focus Ferrers were back in possession and heading for the Southminster goal. Brennen crossed the ball to James who kicked it past the Southminster keeper. Focus Ferrers were 0-1 up. Southminster kicked off after the goal but Focus were soon back in possession after a midfield battle. Play was pretty even in the centre of the field, Liam Bull in goal had very little to do. Liam Barratt and Tyler were taken off for subs Aaron and Ross. Focus were still tackling hard and attacking the Southminster goal. Southminster made a couple of breaks and were in the Focus end for only the second time. Their first attack resulted in a corner which was well defended by the Focus Ferrers defenders Henry and Aaron, the second attack had the Focus Ferrers defense tracking back, Southminster made a shot on goal which was defended and cleared by Focus. Just before the half time whistle Soutminster made another push towards the Focus Ferrers goal, but a shot from a long way out was well covered by keeper Liam Bull. Half time and the score remained at 0 - 1.
It was a shakey second half start for Focus Ferrers. Southminster were hungry for their first goal and were trying to make an attack on the Focus goal. Excellent play from the midfield of Tyler, David and James kept play in the center of the pitch. Southminster made a break for the Focus goal, but fantastic defending from Henry and Liam Barratt left very little for Liam Bull (Keeper) to do. With Focus Ferrers in possession they made another attack on the Southminster goal, good defending from Southminster led to a backline clearance and a corner for Focus. Focus were dominating the game, and it wasn't long before another well deserved goal was slotted past the stationery keeper by Brennen after a great little cross from James. Focus Ferrers were now 0 - 2 up. Focus Ferrers were playing well, training had paid off. They were passing well in midfield between David, James and Brennen. Aaron and Henry provided a solid defence that Southminster were finding hard to break down, With 5 mins left Ross and Aaron come off to allow Tyler and Liam Barratt another run out. Southminster had a shot on goal which was well saved by a confident Liam Bull. Focus were still aiming for a third goal and that promised McDonalds! Southminster were looking a little lost. Focus Ferrers weren't going to give this one away, they were attacking every Southminster ball. They had the control of the game and Southminster were finding it hard to contain Focus Ferrers. In the dying moments David had a shot on goal which hit the post and was gathered up by the Southminster keeper who cleared the ball for a Southminster attack. Liam Bull came out to put the striker off and made a great save.
