Today the Hawks played host to Heybridge who they had played the week before, Hawks having played so well last week knew there levels had to be on top form again this week, Hawks got the game underway ................

The Hawks were soon in there stride and were bosing the opening exchanges with nice quick crisp passing , Charles was first to set his sights on goal and was a whisker away from making it 1 0, The Hawks were pressing and probing for the opening and were playing rearlly well as a team, the opening came with 8 mins gone when from a corner the ball was cleared with Jack waiting on the edge , he hit a great strike which the keeper saved but the rebound fell to David who slotted home , predators goal 10 Hawks...............

The boys tails were rearlly up now with Jack , Ronnie and Henry all putting in great shifts at the back, in the middle Brandan was very dominant and the pace on the wings with David "lightning boots" , Sam and Bren we kept flying forward, Charles was making a right pain of his self up front but this is a v good Heybridge side who defend well as a team, Heybridge got a goal back with a quick break down the left the winger has cut in , layed it across and there striker has smashed it home 1 1....

The boys did not let up though and soon had there lead back, when Jack picked up the ball in his half jinked passed a Heybridge player and riffled the ball home from outside the box great goal 2 1 Hawks, The Hawks kept pressing and had a string of corners which saw one cleared of the line , one bobble just passed and one hitting the post, Charles hit a great shot from outside the box but there keeper again got down well to save, with a couple of mins left it was Heybridge who scored with the Hawks failing to clear there lines, from a corner the ball has pinged around the box only for the Heybridge forward to lash it home 2 2 halftime...................

With the second half underway the Hawks continued to press forward, David again was making a nuisence of himself down the right , and three times beat his man and got the cross in but Heybridge were defending very well, another corner for the Hawks saw the ball come out and Brandan on the edge has hit a goal bound shot, the keeper has pushed the shot onto the post come out and again we just failed to convert the rebound, one of those days !!!!!!!!!! Heybridge then broke down  the right and there winger has crossed the ball beaten Liam , and a Hawks player has shown great determination to get back and has seen the ball spoon of his shin and in , that was harsh 3 2 .

With the Hawks pushing forward to get the equaliser they lost there shape , and now Heybridge were on top and have scored 3 goals in a very good 7 min spell to take the game away from the Hawks , Heybridge were now playing some great football , but we kept pushing and got a goal back with Charles turning the ball home 6 3 Heybridge, we still had chances but today was Heybridges day, the Hawks can take a lot from this game but for some bad luck should of gone in at half time a few goals to the good , the second half Heybridge were very clinical in front of goal and in the end edged this one WELL DONE BOYS..................

All the players deserved man of the match this week and over the two games against Heybridge have shown how closly these two teams are roll on next season........................................ The score was 3-5.
