Match report

With Burnham Ramblers withdrawing from the league our fixture with Tollesbury was rearranged.
Focus started the game with some neat passes but Tollesbury put in some tackles and got the ball forward very quickly in the Focus box and scored in the first few minutes 0-1. Focus were playing well, passing the ball about and actually making tackles but couldn't find a way through the Tollesbury defence. Tollesbury had some good players in midfield and attack and were very quickly 0-3 up.  From a corner Brennen handled and gave away a penalty, although he was injured and was trying to get the Refs attention to come off, Henry had no chance from the well taken spot kick 0-4. Tyler came on for Brennen and Ronnie dropped into midfield. Ross was taking some great goal kicks setting Focus up for attacks in the Tollesbury half with David running down the wing, but their defence held strong stopping Tyler getting the ball. Tollesbury moved from defence into attack very quickly and although Liam and James in defence tried their best Focus couldn't stop Tollesbury from making it 0-6 by half time. Tollesbury had one main player, Alfie, who was doing all the damage scoring at least five of his teams goals.
The second half saw a change of goalkeeper again with Liam this time trying on the gloves, and Henry slotting into the defence with a new signing another Liam.  Focus were more determined this half and had plenty of possession. David picked the ball up in midfield and ran at the heart of the Tollesbury defence, Brennen was doing his best to keep up on the left calling for a pass but as David got into the box the combination of both Tollesbury defenders cleared the ball away.
Tollesbury were finding it harder going this half with Henry putting himself about and fouling Alfie. Liam was doing well in goal and dived to his right to make a save but the Referee had seen the ball cross the line 0-7. With Brennen and James back on the pitch Focus were working hard to attack, David and Ross combined well in midfield and Henry was keeping tabs on Alfie making some great tackles. Liam was distributing the ball well from goal throwing the ball out quickly to the wings. One last attack from Tollesbury saw their striker hit an unstoppable shot into the far corner through a number of bodies which Liam could do nothing about. A much better display from the boys although the scoreline dosen't reflect it.
Well done boys, a great effort by everyone that the parents couldn't decide a man of the match so it was shared by the whole team,
Thankyou to Darren for being Referee. The score was 0-8.
