HAWKS GET AWAY AGAIN ........
TIPTREE JOBSERVE HAWKS 1
FOCUS FERRERS HAWKS 2
Brandan Wray (2)
With another away trip we headed off to Tiptree, upon arrival we knew it would be tough as the wind was howling and the pitch was on an evil hill, never the less the boy's were all ready to go ........
Focus got the game underway with captain for the day Brandan knocking the ball back to Waspy, who had chose to pass out wide to Charlie and we were off, Charlie then went down the wing and put in a good cross just missing everyone, with the Hawks midfield of Jack , Charlie , Ronnie, Brandan, David and Sam we were on top , Brennen was very busy up front and was pulling the defence all over the place , after some neat play Focus should of taken the lead but a Brandan shot went just wide .
From a string of corner's Tiptree took the lead with a bobble in the box falling to the Tiptree striker to blast home, 1 0 Tiptree, The Hawks kept going and within two minute's were level with some nice neat play finding Brandan who slotted home 1 1 , halftime........
Second half started as the first had finished with the Hawks pressing , the wind was rearlly blowing and it was not long into the second half when the rain made an apperance, but dispite this both set's of player's were still playing some good football, Henry at the back was not letting there forwards past, at the other end the hawks were passing and creating some great chance's, Charlie having a snap shot just wide.
Brennan, David and Sam had goal bound effort's cleared with some last ditch defending, with 7 minute's left the Hawks made the breakthrough from a Jack corner, with Brandan reacting first pocking it goal bound the keeper just missed it as it trickled past 2 1 Hawks, with the weather getting worse the hawks kept pressing and Waspy went on a mazy run beating two player's with some great football, but at the final moment with Charlie and Bren calling Jack just could not squeeze the ball through, with only a couple of minute's left another defence splitting ball from Sam found Brennen and Brandan in the clear , with the keeper to beat the ball just ran away and a last ditch prod from Brandan found the oncoming Tiptree keeper , Fulltime................
This game was not for the faint hearted, but credit to both teams for trying to play football on a trully awfull day WELL DONE BOY'S
Man of the match this week went to the Two goal hero and captain for the day Brandan, who has built up a great partnership with Jack and is very dominant in the middle WELL DONE BRANDAN
The score was 2-1.
