Match report

HAWKS KEEP ROLLING ON "JUST"

VALLEY GREEN HAWKS 0

FOCUS FERRERS HAWKS  1
Chaz (1)

After all the bad weather we travelled to Witham to take on Valley Green in our last league cup game, The pitch was a bit heavy but was in good nick considering the weather....

The Hawks kicked off and were straight on the front foot, with a "waspy" shot pushing valley straight back, The Hawks were huffing and puffing and were on top, but had stopped passing the ball and were just lacking that final shot, the Hawks were penning Valley in and with 15 mins on the clock Chaz opened up the scoring from a good through ball, splitting the valley defence with Chaz finishing with his left foot (yep left foot) bottom corner, 1 0 Hawks, perhaps that was the spark we needed , Ronnie was playing his best game for the Hawks and was everywhere, Brandon was bossing the middle and we were camped in their half, but that second goal would just not come, Chaz , David and Brandon all had good effort's but 1 0 it remained Halftime 1 0.......

The second Half started as the first half had finished with the Hawks pressing for a second, Brandon hit  a long lofty shot and was unlucky when the keeper pawed it away, it was one of those day's for the Hawks and with the boy's starting to fade Valley got a foot hold in the game, Henry along with Ronnie and the covering Brandon were being tested, JImbo in goal with the sun now in his eye's had to be alert from a good shot by the valley striker, Valley had some good chances but fortune favours the brave, with two good chances causing mayhem in the usuall calm Focus defence, Valley kept pushing but the Hawks held firm for their second cup win 1 0 Hawks fulltime.......

This was far from their best and i have seen us play alot better and lose, they do say that a sign of a good team is to win when they are not at their best which we done today WELL DONE BOYS.....

Man of the match was Ronnie today who had a fine game at the back and when he was pushed into midfield WELL DONE ...... The score was 1-0.
