With the Hawks making the trip other to Braintree again for the league this time, and after last weeks thrilling game against Sporting we knew this week would be tough test, Line up this week with Jimbo still in goal for the injured Liam , Henry and Ronnie in Defence, David, Charles and Sam in the Middle with Bren up front ......

Sporting got the game underway and straight away made there intentions clear with a good move down the left with there number 7 crossing in and there striker just missing the goal, Sporting as they had done last week started the better but unlike last week could not get that opening goal, with a few shots going high going wide or Jimbo being in the right place, Time for a change reverting to our other formation and making a few changes after 10 mins would this be the kick start, Sporting were playing some nice football and barring a fine diving save from Jimbo and a Defensive clearance from Bran should of been in front, The Hawks finally started to play some nice football and a few long shots from the wasp near the end of the first half spurred us on even more, The Hawks were pressing forward and from a Henry clearance found Bran, who slipped it to David on the right who beat his man crossed it to Jack, who spun hit a shot cannoned off the defender Charlie pounced and cool as you like slotted past the Sporting keeper 1 0 Hawks, that being the last kick of the half ...........

Second Half the Hawks started a lot better and were making in roads into the Sporting team, Hawks had 3 corners in the opening couple of minutes and were unlucky not to increase there lead, with a couple of goal mouth scrambles, at the other end Henry was mopping everything up and Jimbo was solid when called upon, the Hawks soon found themselfs 2 up with david cutting in on the right side and with his LEFT FOOT yep LEFT FOOT he hit a thunderous shot past the Sporting keeper 2 0 Hawks,  the Hawks were going for the 3 rd but just could not get that killer goal with Charles and Jack only denied by some good goalkeeping, Sporting now pushed two up front and went for broke and with 8 mins left got one back from a fine effort just outside the box 2 1 Hawks, Not again we were thinking so we dropped Bran back and put Ronnie on the left to defend what we had, Henry and Bran were emense at the back but with 5 mins left the balls come in Jimbo has saved it spooned out of his hands and with the Focus Hoards all shouting its in the air Jimbo has turned and headed it wide great effort, ( thats what i saw) the last few mins were tense with Sporting having a string of corners one nearly taking Bransn head off "good header" we held out for our second league win FULLTIME....

The Hawks were far from there best today and Sporting had done enough to get at least a draw, but take nothing away from this Hawks team they are starting to dig deep and scored when they were on top, they are getting a close nit group and it shows on the pitch great effort both Teams WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Man of The Match this week was a close run thing with Henry having a blinder at the back, but Jimbo just pipped him for some Great goalkeeping WELL DONE JIMBO......  The score was 2-1.
