HAWKS DRAW IN AWAY DAY THRILLER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the sun just coming up we made the trip to braintree to play Sporting 77 for the first time, With the Hawks boyant after there first victory last week, and sporting also coming into the game after a great win last week we new we would be in for a thriller, Jimbo making his second start for the injured Liam in goal, with Henry and captain Ronnie making up the defence, David, Sam and Chaz who stepped into centre mid for the absent Waspy and Bren up front made the hawks line up this week.....

In the bright autum sun shine Sporting got the game underway, the Hawks found the opening stages hard going and seem to be still in there beds, and like the previous weeks were soon a goal down, a good in swinging corner cleared everyone and nestled into the net 1 0 Sporting, The Hawks just could not get a foot hold in the game and were again caught up field, with the Sporting striker bearing down on goal and finishing well against a diving Jimbo 2 0 Sporting,A quick change to formation seem to do the trick and just as last week( it seems to take the Hawks going down a couple to get them playing) the Hawks started showing some lovely one touch football, Chaz now up front pulled the first one back from a sweeping move on the left by Sam who has carried on from last week, crossing over to David who layed it to Chaz who banged in hawks first of the day 2 1 sporting, The Hawks were passing the ball round now and with Henry at the back clearing everythink The Hawks were soon level, David this time down the right crossing in a superb ball for Bran to nod in the equliser great goal boys 2 2, Sporting just before halftime got there 3 rd from a cracking through ball to there striker who gave Jimbo no chance 3 2 ,with the Hawks pushing forward Sporting had two great chances to increase there lead but just missed halftime 3 2 Sporting.....................

With the Hawks now kicking downhill they kicked off, this was more like the Hawks and were pressing for the equaliser ,some great wing play from Sam and David was causing all sorts of problems now and should of got the equaliser but Chaz just missed the upright, the confidence was flowing now and it was david who leveled cooly slotting past the Sporting keeper cracking goal 3 3, Sporting had a few chances of there own but Jimbo got behind them well, the Hawks kept pressing and from a superb through ball from Henry found Charlie who took it down well and smshed it home 4 3 Hawks, the boys were going for gold now and were shooting from everywere, Sam Charlie and david all had great chances with us all going ooh  "like we were at a firework display" up steps Bren running down the left and hits the ball on the volley lobing the ball over the on coming Sporting keeper 5 3 hawks, job done no chance with the boys missing more chances, Sporting like the Hawks had done in the first half  were not done, with there captain running down the left letting fly Jimbo had it covered only to see it take a wicked deflection and cruely nestle in the goal 5 4, then with seconds left Sporting leveled with a great hit top of the goal 5 5 Fulltime...............................

What a great effort by both teams with both teams showing superb never say die spirit,the first half the Hawks were unlucky to be down with Sporting starting the stronger but Hawks finishing stronger, and the second half Hawks were awsome and should of seen the game out WELL DONE BOYS.....

This weeks man of the match went to everyone with alll the boys putting in a good team performance, The score was 5-5.
