The Hawks went into this friendly having played them twice in the crouch league with two very even matches hawks winning one and fambridge winning one, We did not know what to think as in the spring league the hawks were put into the osea and fambridge were put into the northey having performed better against other teams.with Henry and Liam Barratt missing the team today was Liam Bull, Ronnie Sparks, Jimbo Hall, Jack French, Kian Wootton, David Jones, Sam Mears and "Birthday Boy" Captain Brennen Dellar..........................

Fambridge got the game underway but the hawks won the ball straight away and some fine play between Jack, Bren and Kian saw David running in on goal shooting just missing the target, the hawks were clearly up for the challenge this week and were peppering the fambridge goal with David, Brennen, Kian and Jack all missing chances then on five minutes Bren put David through and with just the keeper to beat slotted the ball neatley into the goal 1 0 Hawks, The hawks were straight in again and a spell of three minutes saw David have a number of chances ( he was on fire) but could not get the second, Brennen who was playing a blinder got a free kick just outside the box and from the resulting free kick scored the hawks second top right hand corner 2 0 hawks, fambridge kicked off again but just could not get into the hawks half with Jimbo and Ronnie patrolling the half way line, Sam was causing all sorts of problems and his crossing was superb, and it was from a Sam cross the hawks got there third with David netting again 3 0 hawks, The hawks were soon four up and this time it was Kian to get in on the act netting after great work from Jack and Sam with Kian passing the ball into the net, The hawks had numerous chances to score more but went into the break 4 up......

Halftime changes came with Liam being asked to come out of goal for a run out on the pitch and Jimbo going in goal, mr versitile Jack going in defence (with Ronnie showing him the ropes) we kicked off the second half, the hawks were all out attack now and early sighters on goal from Sam and Bren showed the hawks were still hungry for more goals, David going on another of his mazy runs found the superb Bren who struck and scored his second of the game cracking finish 5 0 Hawks, Fambridge kicked off and there player henry had a go which Jimbo gathered, from Jimbos goal kick Sam flicked it on to Bren who raced through and smacked the ball "bottom left" to make it 6 0 and with his" RIGHT " foot, Liam now coming on out on the field "after all his fine displays in goal this year " for the fantastic Sam, the hawks soon made it seven with David getting his hatrick with a great strike (nearly ripping the net) 7 0 hawks, Ronnie was marshalling the back line for the hawks with liam but Liams out field play came to an abrupt end when he jarred his knee ( bruised nicely) so Sam now found himself at the back, seven minutes left and Kian made it 8 from another fine finish "cracking shot", the hawks kept pushing but were caught out from a good ball through to the impressive Henry who slotted past Jimbo 8 1 Hawks, then in the dying seconds fambridge got a free kick just outside the box which Henry hit superbly top left to make it 8 2 final whistle ..............

The hawks played rearly well today against a good fambridge side with Sam,Jack, Kian, David and Brennen superb going forward and Jimbo, Liam and Ronnie likewise at the back so Man of the Match was going to be tough and went to two boys this week, With captain Brennen "torres" Dellar and James "hunter" Hall getting the nods from the parents WELL DONE ALL THE BOYS !!!!!!!!

Well done Brennen and David for your hatricks today as well ............................ The score was 8-2.
