Match report

HAWKS HELD IN THE AFTERNOON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the hawks second spring league game and we set out for our first afternoon kick off...
From the outset the hawks took the game to torquespeed and should have taken the lead within the first minute, with David having an early sight at goal going just wide, the hawks were in total control and after ten minutes of pressure we still could not find the killer ball to take the lead, Jack david Kian and Sam were in total control in the middle with Bren up front leading the line we were begining to think it was one of those days, liam in goal had very little to do this half but had to be alert from a good strike going just over, Then after numerous corners the hawks took the lead with Kian hitting the net with a fine strike after a good pass from David , the hawks should of made it two but David was unfortunate when he went to strike but the ball took a bobble onto his left foot as he was about to hit it with his right, the hawks went into the break with a deserved one goal lead 1 0 hawks !!!!!!

The second half started the same as the first with the hawks having lots of the ball but just not getting there shots away, Liam in goal had to be alert and came out to smother the ball (brave) at the feet of there striker, the hawks went down the other end and had a run of about 6 corners in a row but just could not get the final touch,(shooting boots left at home today) then with ten minutes left torquespeed leveled with a good kick up front and there striker getting on the end of it and with Liam coming out slotted it past him 1 1, The hawks had plenty more chances but just could not put there possesion into goals and ended up drawing this game .the hawks defenders were alert today with Henry Ronnie Jimbo and Liam Barratt switched on (and Liam having a go in midfield today) and when called upon cleared there lines ......

This was not the hawks at there best but still done more than enough to win this one but thats football, we are still learning !!!!!! credit to both sets of players well done boys !!!!!!!!

Man of the match this week was between Jack for his alround play he truely has made a difference to this hawks team but Liam in goal got the vote from the parents although he did not have much to do he stayed alert and focused all game "unreal" only joking well done Liam !!!!!!
The score was 1-1.
