HAWKS ON FIRE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
After yesterdays defeat in the mud of saltcoats the hawks were playing back at the hallow lush turf of elmwood,with a starting line up of Liam,Henry,Jimbo,Jack,David,Kian and Bren it was writtle who got the game underway!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hawks were out the traps fast today and were soon having shots on goal with Bren David and Jack all going close in the opening minutes but just when we were thinking dejavu David struck the first goal of the game with some great link up play between Bren Jack and David with David smashing in the opener 1 0 hawks,the hawks then had a string of corners but just could not get the second,on ten mins Sam Ronnie and Liam came on for Kian Henry and Jimbo,with the hawks playing some more great passing football it was Sam who latched on to the loose ball and scored his first goal for the hawks 2 0 hawks,with there tails up the hawks were in great form, writtle broke through but liam made a good save to deny there number ten,then from a cross the hawks were 3 up from a own goal from one of the writtle players who turned to clear but missed kicked it into his own net,3 0 hawks halftime !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The second half got underway and the hawks were soon 4 up when david hit the post bounced out and Bren knocked it in with his knee 4 0 hawks, then a three minute spell which saw Kian hit the post and blast one over from 6 yards then finally got his first goal for the hawks blasting a fierce shot past the writtle keeper ,5 0 hawks then like a bus Kian scored his second with a good run and finish 6 0 hawks,the hawks were on fire and Kian Jack David and Bren all going close oh and Jimbo making an apperance in the writtle box only just missing out,it was down to David to get another with more great football and a good finish 7 0 hawks,from the restart the hawks were attacking again and 3 great saves from the writtle keeper denying more goals,then Bren got his second of the match with a fine finish 8 0 hawks,it was left to Kian to complete the scoring with his hatrick another burst through the middle and srike 9 0 fulltime !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the hawks showing what a good team they can be with Henry Liam Jimbo and Ron patroling the back line and with new signings Sam and Jack alongside captain David Kian and Bren the hawks had loads of good performances with Sam Jack Bren and David awsome today and Liam Henry Ron the superb Jimbo and Liam barrett well done!!!
The man of the match was a tough choice today with everyone playing well but Kian got the nod with a masterfull display and a hatrick well done Kian!!!!!!!!!!
