HAWKS GO DOWN JUST!!!!!!!
The hawks faced a tough tollesbury team who had beaten us twice earlier in the season so we approached the game with alot of caution,with the abscence of captain david the hawks got the game underway,straight from the off the hawks were on the attack but just could not find that killer ball,4 minutes gone and the hawks opened up the tollesbury defence with a great piece of passing between jack jimbo and captain bren seeing jack hitting a thunderous shot only to be denied by a great save then on the follow up jimbo thought he had scored only to be denied by another fine save,the hawks were getting a strangle hold on the game now and more fine shots just mising there mark,then on twelve minutes jimbo got fouled in the box a good penalty shout but was not given liam in goal had to be alert and pulled off a great save from there player alfie,this was end to end now ,then on 14 mins the hawks found themselfs one down from a good move down the right lovely cross and great finish lobbing the ball over liams head 1 0 tollesbury,the hawks straight from the kick off nearly found a way through again with jack, jimbo and bren causing all sorts of problems and kian now finding his passing game the hawks were on top, Ronnie (chopper ) sparks along with henry and liam were playing rearly well at the back and tollesbury were finding the hawks a much sterner test now ,the hawks were pressing and pressing for the equaliser that they clearly deserved ,but with the clock ticking tollesbury nearly doubled there lead ,when there right midfielder who has to be said is a cracking player,played the ball across and was hit first time with liam going the right way it took a deflection and some quick feet liam pulled off a great save. halftime !!!!!!!
second half underway and with ross joining the fray the hawks kept going forward in the early part ,and with bren trying his luck a few times from great runs we were still creating chances,the hawks had put so much effort in and were just dropping off a little, with tollesbury having there best spell but the hawks defence and liam in goal holding firm,ronnie who just keeps getting better and better crunching into the tackles we were confident of getting that one clear cut chance to level the score ,but again while the hawks pressed for an equliser tollesbury broke through and scored another good goal top right hand corner 2 0 tollesbury,the hawks never give up attitude payed off and after jimbo went close again and bren who was having numerous shots on goal it was jack who burst through the tollesbury defence to get his first goal for the hawks 2 1 tollesbury , with only minutes left the hawks went close again kian breaking through passing to bren whoshot just wide fulltime !!!!!!!!!!!!
The hawks have come along way and were very unlucky not to of got at least a draw from this match ,they just need to start putting there chances away it is only a matter of time boys!!!!!
WELL DONE both sets of players for another well spireted game and (well done Jack for your first goal )
The man of the match this week was a hard choice with all the boys playing well but Ronnie (chopper) sparks was given the nod for another trully outstanding defensive display well done ronnie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
