HAWKS LOSE AWAY DAY THRILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the hawks first game for a couple of weeks,Also with a difference from what the boys are used to,For this game we played 30 mins a half not 20 mins as it was a friendly and gave us chance to use all the boys (11) and we played 8 a side not 7 ......

Heybridge got the game underway but the hawks were soon on the front foot, What a difference a few months make, with new signing jack covering the pitch and david bren and kian all looking sharp the hawks were dominating the game and on 8 mins found themselfs a goal up with bren linking well with david who scored his first of the game,The hawks were looking and playing there best football now and passing and moving the ball around,henry ronnie and jimbo were looking solid at the back with liam in goal looking assured and making a fine save on 12 minutes when the heybridge striker turned on the edge of the box and struck a good shot which liam gathered,Jack and Jimbo down the left were linking up Kian in the middle looked assured and david with bren testing the heybridge goalkeeper on a number of occasions the second goal finally came, more great link up play between jack kian david and bren saw david smash his second of the game,changes were made with tyler ross and liam barratt coming on jack ronnie and kian coming off heybridge kicked off again, the changes seemed to upset the team and with 23 mins gone heybridge got one back nice neat football resulting with a good goal,2 1 hawks heybridge started making inroads into the hawks and on 28 mins leveled up when from a heybridge corner the ball came across the goal mouth and hit a hawks defender on the back of the leg and into the net very unlucky goal to concead,from the kick off the hawks went up the other end and bren having a go nearly got the hawks back in front which there first half play deserved halftime 2 2 .......

Hawks got the second half underway and this half heybridge started well testing liam a couple of times in the opening minutes,the hawks finding it hard to get the shape back still had chances with bren david and now jimbo having strikes on goal, but 12 minutes into the second half heybridge were in front for the first time the hawks failing to clear there lines 3 2 heybridge, 18 minutes into the second half the hawks went another goal behind a cross come shot just bounced over and between the post and liam in goal (whod be a goalkeeper) to make it 4 2 to heybridge,with the hawks conceding two more (a bit harsh) before the end on 24 and 28 mins the game ended 6 2 to heybridge,the hawks team is rearly coming together now and friendlys are the time to tinker with the team and in hindsight to many changes but this was against a good heybridge who had beaten us 9 0 and 5 0 over 40 minutes on the two occasions we had met before,this was over 60 minutes and the hawks keep getting better and as a team improving week after week well done boys !!!!!!!!!!!!
