This was the hawks first home game of 2009 against a new hatfield peveral side.With the hawks now with twelve boys the starting line up this week was Liam, Ronnie,Captain Liam B, Henry, David, Jimbo and Brennen subs today Tyler, Aaron, Ross, Kian and new signing Jack.
The hawks kicked off and it was not long till Bren had a strike on goal just going wide, The hawks kept the pressure on and with 3 minutes gone david made it 1 0, A fine piece of play seeing david smacking the shot under the keeper. Straight from the hatfield kick off the hawks had the ball again with henry passing to jimbo who fed the ball to Bren knocked it wide to david who hit the ball first time with the keeper beaten denied cruely by the post, With a hatfull of chances it was only a matter of time and on 9 minutes jimbo scored the 2nd for the hawks great finish 2 0 hawks, changes were then made seeing Ronnie, Liam b, and jimbo coming off and Tyler, Aaron and Jack coming on, The changes seemed to upset the hawks and with there first attack hatfield pulled one back ,when Liam come for the ball but there striker just got there before him to toe it under his body 2 1 hawks.With five minutes left the hawks went 3 1 up with another great strike from the inform David, Then another sucker punch saw hatfields striker smack in an unstoppable shot great finish 3 2 hawks,With bren and David having a few more shots on goal but just not getting the luck the half finished 3 2 hawks!!!!!!!!!!
Halftime changes with David, Tyler and Bren coming off and Ross, Kian and ronnie coming on hatfield got the second half underway!!!! The hawks were still playing good football with Kian playing some nice touch football along with new boy Jack , kian having a strike on goal hitting there defender, hatfield had there best spell but found the hawks defence of Ronnie and henry in good form,With 9 minutes gone David Bren and jimbo came back on and within 2 minutes the hawks were 4 2 up when Jimbo passed to Bren who played a corker of a through ball to david who finished the move with a great strike and his hatrick!!! hatfield still did not give up and From a free kick there player has hit a 25 yard shot straight in the goal 4 3 hawks, with hatfield hitting the post and a save from liam and Brennen David and jimbo all going close the match ended with a win for the hawks.
The hawks had so many chances and could off been out of sight before halftime but credit to hatfield peveral for never giving up well done boys.
