HAWKS GO DOWN FIGHTING!!!!!

With back to back games the hawks had a friendly with Hedinghams from the osea division, With the line up today of Liam, Henry, Liam B, David, Ross, Jimbo and Bren Subs Jack, kian, Tyler and Ronnie.

The hawks kicked off in freezing conditions and it was not long before the hawks had the first chance of the match a shot going just wide from bren, the game was end to end with neither team giving an inch then with 4 minutes gone a loose ball was sprung on by the hedinghams striker who finished it superbly 1 0 hedinghams, the hawks took the kick off and bagan to sqeeze for the equliser with bren Jimbo and David all going close,Both Bren and David hit the post but hedinghams always looked deadly on the break,With five minutes to go in the first half David has hit the sweetest volley from outside the edge of the box only to be denied by what was a great finger tips save, hawks kept pressing but the goal just would not come for them so went in halftime a goal down !!!!

With the snow and hail making an apperance hedinghams got the second half underway,the second half was end to end with liam getting called into action on a couple of occasions and the hawks defence holding firm,the same has to be said of hedinghams defence who as well were holding off the hawks attack,ten minutes into the 2nd half and the hawks had another corner which bren took but none of the hawks players could get on the end of it with a goal mouth scramble,this was begining to look like one of those days and while the hawks were trying to get the equaliser hedinghams were looking dangerous on the break,but as liam barratt and henry had done in the first half ronnie and henry were holding them off in the second,with seconds remaining david plays in Bren who had found space and turns in the box shoots only just missing the goal fulltime 0 1 !!!!!
This was a very good performance from the hawks and were very unlucky not to have taken at least a draw from a very good hedinghams side, yet another friendly team who had traveled a long way to play a friendly thank you gary and your team great bunch of lads !!!!!!! The score was 0-1.
