FOCUS FERRERS EAGLES 2
WRITTLE MINORS 2
With a home match against a good writtle side the boys were determined to show last weeks disaster was one of those days.
Writtle got the game underway but found the Eagles a tough nut to crack, the Eagles started to take a strangle hold on the game and with most of the early possesion should of taken the lead with chances for the inform Kian, Tom and Harrison allhaving sighters at goal, at the other end no nonsense Ross was clearing everthing, on 12 mins the Eagles took the lead fine cross from Tom finding Kian who dont miss from close range back of the net 1 0 Eagles, The boys were growing with confidence and should of taken a two goal lead but a fine save from the Writtle keeper made a good save low right from a Harrison shot, Micheal, H, and Jake were working well in the midfield, with five mins of the half left Writtle drew level with a mix up at the back seeing the Writtle striker smash it past a diving Aaron, The Eagles undetered went straight up the other end and only good fortune prevented them going in at halftime at least a goal up, Halftime 1 1...................
With the manager and coachs words ringing in there ears (more of the same) the Eagles got the second half underway, it was a very entertaining game with both teams having chances Writtle nearly took the leaqd but a telescopic Ross leg came out of no were to poke the ball wide, great tackle Harrison was running the midfield alongside Kian and a fine pass from Kian saw Tom clear and with a snap shot the ball went just wide, then from a corner which came out to Tom he has taken a touch and fired the ball into the goal 2 1 Eagles, Writtle came back again and caught the Eagles pushing for the third with a break from there striker who calmly slotted past Aaron good goal 2 2, The Eagles kept pressing for the winner but more gaps at the back saw Aaron make a fine save to keep the scores level (that would of been harsh) with two mins remaining the Eagles had a great pen shout when a writtle defender handled the ball on the line stoppimg a clear goal but the ref missed it, the game ending 2 2 fulltime........................
The Eagles showed great character today and put last weeks blip behind them, on balance of play should of won this one, but take nothing away from a Writtle side with a never give up attitude, WELL DONE BOYS...............
Man of the Match this week went to Harrison who is the Eagles ever ready Bunny just keeps going on and on and on , oh and also produced the move of the match with a fine piece of skill leaving 3 writtle players for dust WELL DONE H .....
The score was 2-2.
