| 4 Oct 2009 | U10s Rangers | 3-3 | Baddow Spartak | League |
The first half finish 0-0 with both teams enjoying good spells of possession but unable to brake the deadlock due to some fine goalkeeping from both goal keepers.
After the break Baddow were quickly into their stride and scored 2 goals within 5 minutes of the restart but the Rangers now regrouped and went on the attack again with Josh clearing the ball long for Ben to run onto and strike the ball over the out rushing goal keeper. The boys were back and top and pressing the goal but Baddow again scored to make it 3-1. Once again the boys did not let their head drop and kept pressing the goal with several near misses being created and fine saves from the Baddow keeper kept the score at 3-1. But eventually Frazer played the ball to Ben who delivered the ball to the far post for Jamie to volley into the roof of the net with only 30 seconds left to play. Straight from the restart the boys could sense a draw and another good clearance from Josh found Ben who played the ball through to Jamie who placed the ball under the keepers leg and trickled towards goal as the clock closed in on full time, but out of the corner came Fletcher like steam train and smashed the ball over the line seconds before the ref blew his whistle for a well deserved 3-3 draw. The man of the match went to Josh for outstanding defending with some excellent defensive headers.
Well done all 11 boys for a truly great performance to come back from 3-1 down.
