Friday Night Thriller for Focus U7
The Rangers had to travel to Heybridge for a Friday night game due to a back log of fixtures, but what a great evening it turned out to be with the Rangers winning 4-2. Heybridge took the lead with a well struck free kick but straight from the kick off Frazer Wraight took a shot from inside his own half and up in the air it went, over the defenders and then over the goal keeper and into the back of the goal to make the game 1-1 at half time.
The second half saw loads of attacks for both teams but the Rangers where passing the ball beautifully and this lead to Kristen passing the ball to Jamie Buck who ran through the defence and blasted past the goal keeper to make it 2-1. Heybridge than came straight back and scored another to make the game level again at 2-2. The Rangers kept on playing their passing game and eventually the ball found its way to the sniffer (Jamie) who side footed home from 3 yards out. The Rangers kept going forward for another goal and eventually earned themselves a free kick outside the box and up stepped Josh Colvill from defence to line the ball up, he stood there just like Ronaldo, picked his spot and curled the ball with pace into the top corner to make the final score 4 - 2 to the Rangers. The man of the match went to Jamie Buck who held the ball beautifully up front, played some good passes to his team mates and scored 2 goals. Well done to all 11 boys for playing good football.
