Match report

Focus Ferrers Rangers 1 – 1 Burnham Ramblers

The pitch at Burnham Ramblers was absolutely perfect and was so flat it could have been a bowling green so there were great expectations the Rangers would play some nice passing football. The boys took control of the game from the start and played some nice passes through the midfield but could not break down the stern Burnham defence and the outstanding goal keeper. Eventually Daniel Matthews won the ball by the corner flag and passed to Jamie Buck who crossed the ball into the box for Nathan Putt to smash home to give the boys a one nil lead. Burnham game back at the Rangers and equalized with a nice lob into the roof of the net to make the scores level at half time. After the break the Rangers continued to attack the Burnham goal but the goal keeper was having the game of his life and kept the score line at 1-1. The man of the match went to Kristen Tucker who listened to the defending tactics at training and reproduced them during Sunday’s game.

The score was 1-1.
