Match report

The boys got off to a bright start trying to pass the ball down the channels just as they had practiced in training but could not find the back off the net, several chances were either just wide of the post or the goal keeper made some great saves and then Silver end broke through the midfield and past the defence to score a very good goal.

This was the first time the boys had been behind during a game so it was now a test to see if they could react and get themselves back into the game and score some goals. The boys now went for all out attack which did occasionally leave them exposed in defence but this was dealt with by man of the match Ben Allen who held his position well and marshalled his defence either side of him. Eventually after some hard pressing the ball was played into the box and an own goal was scored making the tie 1-1. The Rangers continued to go forward but could not score that winning goal due to the Silver end goal keeper making some outstanding saves. This was a very good performance from all 10 boys as they battled back well after going a goal down. Well Done.

The score was 1-1.
