FOCUS FERRERS LIONS U7   3  -  3  GALLEYWOOD EAGLES U7

The Lions were two men down today so we only had eight boys to pick from. From the start it was going to be tough. Galleywood opened the scoring on two minutes - the lions were under alot of pressure, but were working hard on a very sticky pitch. The defence of Kai, Michael and Joseph knew they were in a game as they were doing most of the work. Tommy had to pull off some great saves to keep Lions in it. On 13 minutes Aaron smashed home the equaliser. This is how it was to stay at half time -  1 - 1.

The second half got under way but the midfield of Jack, Alfie and Daniel could not got hold of the ball and on 22 minutes Galleywood were back in front, 2 – 1 to Galleywood. The boys were always going to chase this game but once again the ‘on form’ Aaron put the boys back in it to make the score 2 – 2. The Lions defence were soaking up alot of pressure and Kai was making some great last man tackles. On 30 minutes a free kick was awarded just outside the Lions box and a well taken free kick put Galleywood back into a 3 – 2 lead. The Lions would not lie down and on 33 minutes Daniel put us back in it at 3  - 3. This was the way it was to stay. Well done to the boys for sticking at it. The well deserved man of the match was Kai - without him today things could have been a lot worse.
