This was going to be another test for the boys who were playing on a very muddy sloping pitch. The boys kicked downhill and on 2 minutes Aaron made a great pass to Jack who scored a lovely goal to open the scoring, 1 – 0 to the Lions. The Lions were having most of the play in this half. All the boys were working hard in the very muddy conditions. On 6 minutes Aaron scored a well taken goal to put the lions 2 - 0 up. Teddy was making some great runs and on 7 minutes he cut inside to put the lions 3 - 0 up.  On 8 minutes Teddy made a great run down the right to put a cross into Jack who was there to score his second of the day, 4 - 0 to the Lions. Joseph was working well in the middle of a very sticky pitch and on 10 minutes he scored a great goal to put the lions 5 - 0   up. On 14 minutes, Daniel got a great goal to put the lions 6 – 0 up. The defence didn’t have a lot to do this half but Kai and Callum kept in control and Tommy had to make some great saves to keep Rayne at bay. Michael was doing great runs and not missing a tackle. However, on 17 and 18 minutes, Rayne made two breaks that were met by two great goals to put them back in it – the score was now

6 - 2 to the Lions. Right on the stroke of half time Jack was put in the clear and did a brilliant run to get his third of the day. The score at half time was Lions 7 Rayne 2.

Alot of changes were made at half time. Daniel was now put into goal and Kai was put into midfield. This was now going to be tough as the boys were kicking uphill on a very muddy pitch. However, Lions made a great break when Jack slipped the ball to Aaron who scored to put Lions 8 - 2 up. Rayne kept the pressure on and on 28 struck a fierce shot to score, 8 - 3. All the boys were working hard  .On 30 minutes Aaron passed to Jack who scored his 4th of the day - the score was now 9 - 3  to the Lions. The boys were now getting very tired but they were all still working hard, but on 36 and 38 minutes two more very strong shots were scored by Rayne. This was to be the final score 9 - 5 to the Lions.

The man of the match today was Jack who scored four great goals.
