FOCUS FERRERS LIONS U7 1 - 1 SPORTING 77 U7
This was always going to be a tough test for the boys. Neither team had lost a game this season. Right from the start the lions knew they were in a tough battle. Tommy was having to do great saves from the start. Kai was put into defence and was tackling and clearing up at the back with great skill. 77 broke through on 3 minutes to take a deserved lead. The boys then woke up a bit. Tommy and Kai having to work overtime at the back. The half ended 1 – 0 to 77. This was a deserved lead as they had worked well together.
Some changes were made at half time. Lions looked like a totally different team. Joseph was winning everything in the middle of the park. And Kai yet again was clearing everything up at the back Alfie picked up the ball rounded three players before he got a pass away to Aaron who cooly finished well on 32 minutes to put the score at 1 – 1. The lions continued to press but missed chance after chance. They had about four corners but the boys just could not get on the end of them. The final score was to stay at Focus 1 – Sporting 1. This was a great game to watch. Tommy the goal keeper was man of the match. He made some great saves and was handling well. Joseph also had a great game. And Kai at the back did not miss a thing - well done boys. Keep up the good work
