This was Focus Ferrers u7 Lions' first home game at Woodville School so no one knew what to expect. Lions got off to a great start. Aaron picked up the ball with only 2 minutes gone, put the ball to the right of the keeper to put the Lions 1-0 into the lead. Midfield and defence were working overtime. All passing and defending with alot of passion. Once again, Lions broke free and after 5 mins Joseph had put lions 2-0 up. Lions kept up the pressure and forced Rayne into having to make a back pass to their keeper who misread the back pass and slotted the ball home in his own net making it an own goal - but 3-0 up to the Lions. Teddy was working overtime. He was all over the pitch and got his rewards on 16 minutes putting lions 4-0 up.Right on the stroke of half time, Daniel had a ball passed to his feet and made no mistake in putting lions 5-0 up at half time.
Lions started the second half just as they had finished the first. With 1 minute gone the hard working teddy slotted home again. All the boys kept the pressure on passing, running and defending with great determination. 11 minutes into the half Aaron had put lions into a 7.0 lead . The boys kept the pressure on . Rayne had a few chances but Tommy made some fine saves to keep a clean sheet. After 16 minutes Aaron once again struck to put the boys into a well deserved 8.0 lead . At the end of the half the boys seemed to tire slightly and Rayne seized the chance to get a goal back  this was to be the final score FocusFerrers Lions 8 Rayne Youth 1.  Well done to all the boys - you worked together brilliantly as a team today.
