The first match in our first league game was a tough one! After a long break for the summer the boys were awakened with a tough side. However, they all played extremely well to pull of a well earned win.  Alfie set us off on the right foot by scoring a cracking goal but Braintree Town then woke up and came straight back to even the match. At half time it was 1-1.  After half time, Braintree scored straight away to go into the lead which Focus Ferrers then came back with an excellent goal from Jack to even the score again. Braintree Town striker came one on one with Focus's goalkeeper Tommy who made a superb save. The striker came back again but Joseph tracked back and made a superb breathtaking tackle to stop them taking the lead.  Once again, Alfie carried on his superb performance to score another superb goal to take Focus Ferrers into the lead and this was to be the final score. 
 
A superb win boys - you all did very well and deserved the score. Alfie was very deservedly man of the match today.  Keep it up - lets keep the goals coming.  Team today: Tommy, Michael, Callum, Joseph, Daniel, Teddy, Kai, Aaron, Jack and Alfie.
