Match report

In a game where we battled all the way we can away with nothing which i felt was a little harsh after we gave it our all.  Darren Thraves put is in front after a mix up from the home defence and goal keeper, a fine start by Darren who was making his first appearence in a Focus shirt! Byfleet were a very strong and physical side and it was long before they got back on level terms, after a series of corners and constant pressure.  Focus still battled hard but could not stop Byfleet taking the lead just before the break, although it was a bit harsh on Chesney who put in a few fantastic challenges before the ball found it's way to the net.

Second Half we started blightly, Radley&Thraves were working well together with good support down the flamks bu Pugh & North, Focus were pushing hard and fine run and cross from Pugh found the diving head of Chris Hine who finished well to bring in back to 2-2.

Focus sat back after making byfllet come at them and to be honest was the wrong this to do as we had them on the back foot.  Focus conceeded a third after the ball found its way to the byfleet striker after more fine defending from Harding and Chesney. It was a shame to come away with nothing, but it was a good test and we know what we need to do next time to get the better of them.

Fine all round performance from all the lads but a special mention for Ben Chesney who had an outstanding game. The score was 2-3.
