Focus 3 Southminster 0

At last Focus get revenge but leave it very late to move back to the top of division 1. playing into the wind in the first half Focus started brightly passing and moving down both flanks southminster were up against it.  It was no surprise we found it difficult to break them down, they proved in our first two encounters they were going to be no push over!  They nearly went ahead but for the bar saving us, it was a very open game and both teams tried to play football on a very poor and muddy playing surface. 0-0 at half time although we had not played that bad we needed to up the tempo, which we did but still could not find that break through.

With 25 Minutes to go we change things around Alex Russ came on for Russell Harding&Chris Hine for Northy, Chris Hine went close with his first touch and Alex was making impact with neat runs and fresh legs he was putting pressure on the tired Southminster defence! Goal! A miss hit shot went under the Keeper and gave us the oppotunity to take the three points, Two well taken strikes from brother Chris Hine ensured the game was safe and Focus moved back to the sumit! for the Xmas break.. Well done good attitude and fine battleing qualities.

MOM James Connelly, Adam Boarer a close second.... The score was 3-0.
