Match report

County Cup Second Round focus 9 Burnham 2 North 2, Connelly, Patel, Hine, Alex Russ, Cawston, Pugh, Boarer At last!!! We played for the full 90 minutes and got our reward, great display of finishing after going a goal down! Reverting back to the 352 formation, Focus started off a bit shakey with miss passes and generally not getting to grips early on. After going a goal down Focus grit there teeth and showed there battleing qualities with good all round football, an own goal got us back on level terms before a fantastic run from cawston set up hine to finish well, that made it 2-1 at half time. The second half started off brightly with North finishing well on the half volley! Focus had there grip on the game and kept pushing the Burnham defence further back, more fine finishing from Cawston, Alex Russ, North again, Patel, Boarer & Pugh finished off a fine display! This was a pleasing peformance in many ways, the way we got back into the game for a start and playing for the full 90 minutes showed what we can do if we can play at the same tempo!! Man of the Match, Alex Russ, with 10 votes! Third round is on the 13th December, away to either Crays Hill or Great Bentley...... The score was 9-2.
