Southminster win 4-3 on Pens!

This result is really hard to swallow and in the end the dreaded pens haunt us again, Focus started off in great fashion creating chance after chance and playing some oustanding Football at times.  It was a joy watch the way they were playing, Goals from Conners and Rads put us in great position, 2-0 up at half time.  Conners goal came from a corner where he beat the GK to nod home, and radley tucked away a fine team build up from a Boarer cross.  More of the same in the second half would surely see us through to Semi-Final???????

With the rain lashing down Focus failed to show any of the form they showed in the first half, Southminster were pileing on the pressure and only fines saves form LJ kept us in front. We really did struggle to keep with them in the second Half, it was no surprise when they pulled one back then it was really was backs against the wall!!! More fines saves from LJ kept it at 2-1 untill the final minute, we switched off and they scored from a corner to force extra time.

Extra time, see us wake up and start to play the football we played in the first half, now the Southminster keeper was in top form keeping out a fine effort from Radley.  Better display in both extra time periods but it was Pens again!!!!!!!!

We missed two and that was that! another defeat to the dreaded pens!
The football at times was amazing, but switching off at times and not keeping the ball cost us dearly! Well done on the effort but we know where we went wrong?????
