With the girls finally at full strenght and all the hard work done on the training field the u 12s focus girls were ready for there first game.
On a lovely sunny afternoon they were off ! Early exchanges saw burnham attack and force an early touch for rebbeca in goal , A good kick down the middle and katie s picks it up for focus a neat piece of play between both katies emily , eleanor and jenny they were bearing down on the burnham goal, katies through ball found alisha who turned but just could not get her shot away , With focus growing in confidence and playing some nice football they just could not find the break through there play deserved they ended the half 0 0 .
With the halftime oranges and the team talk out the way the second half was underway !
Burnham started the second half very well with sophie,ellis and jenny making some great defensive tackles to keep burnham at bay,After some good midfield exchanges focus started to get the upper hand again and should have gone a goal up but were denied by a good save from the burnham keeper, With focus laying siege on the burnham goal they were denied a penalty from a handball and with burnham looking dangerous on the break it was a very good game, The final whistle blew with the focus girls unlucky not to win there first ever game !
