Match report

After the sun and the rain of previous matches, this week it was the turn of the 'fog' and an early start bound for Colchester. Undeterred the girls were wide awake and ready to play. From the off we worked hard to pressure the opposition and close down the ball. It worked and after a lovely through ball Alisha ran on to it and put the ball in the back of the net 1-0. Our first goal of the season! Well done girls. Colchester fought back hard with some sustained pressure and scored to make it 1-1. Both teams continued to work hard with some excellent attacking and defending on both sides in what was an even match. However with half time approaching Colchester scored to lead 2-1.
Following a well earned break Focus continued to fight back and were starting to gain the upper hand when Colchester scored from a break 3-1. The girls tired as the game went on and despite all their hard work and determination Colchester scored 3 goals in the last 10 minutes.
The final score was not a true reflection of the game and all the girls deserve to be proud of their efforts. Well done. The score was 1-6.
