Match report

This week we took on The Eagles at Saltcoats with a bare 11 again due to the injuries sustained in the last couple of games. after a sluggish start the boys starting getting the ball moving and following a series of of corners well taken by Ant we eventually scored from a great header from Aron, the boys sat back a little after this and The Eagles created a couple of clear cut openings with really should have been taken but a relieved Hawks got away with it. This spurred the boys into life and following another great passing move Cameron was on hand to maturely put the ball pas the on coming keeper to make it 2-0 another corner followed soon after and a great delivery by Ant saw James on hand to score from the edge of the 6 yard box (HIS 1ST EVER GOAL) further goals followed by Cameron and Ant to put the Hawks 5-0 up at half time. once again the injury jinx took over with George's knee preventing him from playing the 2nd half. With the confiednce of previous weeks the boys took control of the 2nd half palying some great football with everybody involved in some outstanding passing moves with chances being created on a regular basis, further goals followed from Ant, Alex (2) and Cameron (2) completing his second hat-trick and making it 4 in the game.
Well done the boys and special mention should go to the Eagles who never gave up and created a few chances of their own and there 2nd half goalkeeper who made some great saves.
Man of the Match was Alex who did not stop running the whole way through the game.
this keeps us safely in 4th and within touching distance of the 3rd   The score was 10-0.
