Match report

The Hawks came to the match brimming with confidence after last weeks sensational performance. They got off to a lively start and started creating chances straight away. Barnston came close to scoring on the break but their attack was thwarted by a strong tackle by last man Adam. The Hawks kept up the pressure and came close to scoring following a great cross by Ellis. The Hawks were finally rewarded a short time later when Anthony scored to make it one nil.

In the second half the Hawks kept up the pressure and a terrific goal by Dan H made it two nil. Although the Hawks kept having further chances and demonstrating great skills ( Anthony at one point succcessfully found his way through four players!) they were unable to add any more goals.

Barnston did have there chances but keeper Tony had another excellent game kept the Hawks sheet clean.

Final Score was 2 - 0 to the Hawkes. Man of the match was Ellis.
