Match report

It was a foggy start to the day, but for the Hawks the sun certainly shone and so did they. This was a really good performance from the boys and today everything gelled. It was a real team effort with every member of the squad playing well. The game started off at a high tempo with both sides getting really stuck in. The breakthrough came after 10 mins when Charlie scored his second of the season followed 8  mins later with a second on the day. Good play continued and after 23 mins Harrison bagged his 5th of the season following a great move with Aaron. 5 mins before half time Barnston Youth pulled one back but on a hot morning, half time was welcomed and the guys regrouped to plan how to make sure they killed the game off.

Again the second half started like the first; evenly matched until on 39 mins Charlie grabbed his hatrick. Following a couple of substitutions Harry T then stretched the lead to 5-1 with a well taken goal. Barnston pulled another back but at 5-2 the game was out of reach for them. Regrettably the mood of the game turned a little niggly but it passed and the Hawks extended their lead to 7-2 by the end with Harry T bagging another and Charlie another as well. George was Man of the Match for a performance that made it look like there were 2 of him on the pitch ! Well done boys. The score was 7-2.
