Match report
Following last weeks poor result the Hawks visited Tiptree Heath for a midday kick off. They started well and certainly in the first 10 minutes were creating more of the chances and applying most of the pressure. The end result wasn't coming and therefore it was disappointing to see us go behind after 15 minutes. Another two goals followed soon after, and at that stage it looked like game over. The boys seemed galvanised and however and following a couple of substitutions we turned the heat up for the final part of the half. With a minute to goal Harrison scored his first goal of the season and sent they boys into half time with hope. Against a physical side we held our own but were always looking to play football.
The plan was to ensure we didn't concede another goal and to get back on level terms as soon as we could. We again had a lot of the possession but lady luck wasn't shining down on us. With 7 minutes to go and following a period of sustained pressure on the Tiptree box Harrison bagged his second and we were set for a grandstand finish. The game took on an even more physical edge and was very stop start for the remainder. Having started the season against three smart sides the performance on Sunday will stand the Hawks in good stead for the upcoming fixtures. The score was 2-3.
