Match report
This was our first away match of the season to new opponents. On what was a poor quality pitch the Hawks didn't make the best of starts with Ravens Youth grabbing an early goal. For most of the remainder of the half the Hawks played the better football keeping the opposition in their half most of the time. On a big pitch the ball was got out wide which is where the biggest threats came from. A good move towards the end of the half resulted in Lewis winning a penalty which unfortunately the Hawks failed to convert. A classic sucker punch then saw Raven Youth score two very late goals in the half which sent them in feeling far the happier. Following some straight talking at half time the boys came out determined to make a real fight of it. Harry T replaced Michael. The temperature started to rise in the game and some tough challenges were going in which resulted in a couple of injuries due to the poor state of the pitch. The Hawks continued to create chances but today lacked the finished product. Ravens were the stronger team but were perhaps a little flattered by the scoreline. Man of the match - not awarded. The score was 0-4.
