Match report

This was going to be a big test for us as Brentwood are in the division above us and are a very good side.We turned up to see the best pitches we have ever seen and hoped it would suit our passing style of football. From the early moments that was to be the case and a good Brentwood side were learning that we were no push over.It was ouselves that took the game to them and it was no suprise after an excellent 20 mins that we took the lead with a fantastic shot from James Graham that went over the head of a very good Brentwood keeper that had already made 3 excellent saves. We were hoping to go in 1-0 up but a lack of concentration at the back lead to a Brentwood equaliser and the first half finished 1-1.In the second half we continued to push and the whole team were really playing some good football. It was slightly against the play that Brentwood went 2-1 up,but instead of the boys heads going down, they rallied round and it wasnt long before George Ashley broke through and slotted the ball home,an excellent finish to make it 2-2.We did have various other chances with George hitting the post and James hitting the bar .With full time approaching it was left to Matthew Hall to rise above the Brentwood defense and produce a superb header to make it 3-2.The final whistle went and we were deserved winners.Man of the Match went to James Griffiths for another excellent performance, full of energy and fight and to Matthew Hall for another solid performance and scoring the winner.Well Done The score was 3-2.
