Match report

A Sunday afternoon visit to Witham to play Valley Green.We had beaten them 4-0 a few weeks ago and would put it down as one of our best performances against a very strong side.We started with the slope of the pitch and wind blowing in our direction and therefore had to take advantage of the conditions.We did just that and after some good passage of play from all the team we went ahead with one of the best goals of the season.It was an absolute cracker with the left foot of Joe Turpin.Joe Turpin also produced an excellent cross that was finished really well on the volley from George Ashley.James Graham produced a solo run and lob over the oncoming kepper to make it 3-0 at half time.Excellent performances from every player on the pitch ,with everyone working hard to help each other.The second half was hard work ,but all players responded to the challenge, we never conceeded and scored another goal from Joe Turpin.At times today the passage of play was excellent with all players playing there part.Well done boys we are getting ever nearer.Man of the Match went to Joe Turpin for scoring two,setting up one and having two excellent games back to back. The score was 4-0.
