Match report

A league game against another top side ,Baddow Spartak.This was the toughest encounter of the season so far and after a very equal first half ,the teams went in 0-0.We had a number of chances as did Baddow and the midfield quartet,of James Graham,James Griffiths,Ben Mears and Luke Duchars had battled throughout the first 30 mins and had just about come out on top.The second half was much the same as the first and both teams were going for the win,in what was a very entertaining game.Jordan Cleary was excellent in goal ,as was the whole of the back four.George Payton was his usual steady ,reliable self and Matthew Hall,Joe Royce and Jack Stoker never let much go all game.Joe Turpin and George Ashley had worked well up front against a very good Baddow defense.Jack Wiseman and Dominic Townrow came on in the second half and Jack changed the game with his excellent throws and long crosses.Dom instantly caused trouble on the wing and helped create chances for the front two.Just when the result was heading for a very good 0-0 draw.Jack Wiseman put an excellent ball over the oncoming Baddow keeper and George Ashley slotted home to the delight of the home support.Baddow were determined to get back into the game ,but minutes later another good throw from Jack was met with a superb header again by George to finish the score 2-0 .An excellent team effort and a very good result.Man of the Match went to James Graham for an excellent first half ,in which he battled and fought and came out on top and for some dangerous runs and crosses in the second half. The score was 2-0.
