Match report

This was our first game against one of the teams that came up to the first division with us last year.We had beaten Rayne on a few occassions last year and also drawn on the very first game.All games had been close ,but this was a totally different game.Rayne had a few new players and on a very wet day they played some very good football.For some long spells they were in control and we had to fight with our backs against the wall.For the spectators it was an excellent game with both teams very commited.0-0 at half time with chances for both teams to take the lead.In the second half with the rain lashing down ,it was Rayne that took the lead ,a good through ball knocked into our own net with a combination of two defenders.This knocked us into life and we had to battle hard.We needed something very special ,that came in the form of some brilliant control and a stunning shot from Luke Duchars that hit the top of the net.1-1 and we started to have a little more pressure.Time was ticking on and we needed to take the lead to help us stay top of the league.Another good throw from Jack Wiseman was met by Ben and with as good a back header as you are likely to see he hit the back of the net.2-1 and the final whistle went.This was a very good game and big credit has to go to Rayne.Well done boys.Man of the Match went to Jordan in goal for a very strong ,solid performance. The score was 2-1.
