Match report

Focus Ferrers Falcons 3 ,Dunmow 0
Our first match of the season and after a long break it was hard to know how we would start. It was a tough start to an establised first division team,Dunmow. The game was aways going to be tough ,but the boys had worked well in training and had listened hard over the closed season. We have no big stars in our team, but have a every good teamwork ethic and when we play well we can live with anyone. We started the game well and quickly got into our stride.Good shots came in from George and Zack and Jack Wiseman had a good few long range shoots at the Dunmow goal. The defense were stong and the Dunmow attack were limited to very few chances at the other end.We had to make our chances count and it came in the form of an excellent free kick from Jack Wiseman and an very well finished shoot from George Ashley (with his left foot). It wasnt long before we had a second and again excellent service from the wings lead to a very good header from Zack Fleming and a score line of 2-0 at half time.We had to reaarange slighlty as James Graham was carrying aninjury (gained whilst playing tennis, not football)He couldn't carryout his deadly runs down the wing ,but injured or not he still popped up to complete the scoring after finishing another good cross from Zack. The midfield were strong and good tackling from Ben Mears and an excellent performance from Cameron Gray as a new outfield player.Other good performances were a plenty and at times the other team were clapping our passing and moving.Special mentions to Jordan in goal,George P at the back for a second good performance in 2 weeks,Zack in midfield/upfront who looked so strong in the tackle,Jack Wiseman for a good solid performance and to George A upfront for his continued work in holding up the play and his better passing. No man of the Match as the team were all fantastic. The score was 3-0.
