To Woodham

From Southend

Head out of Southend on the A127 and take the A1245 exit toward Chelmsford/Canvey Island/A130, at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A1245 heading to Chelmsford/Canvey Island/A130. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A130 heading to Chelmsford/A1114/A132. Take the first exit (A132) toward A1245/Wickford/S Woodham Ferrers, at the top of the slip road turn left onto the A132/Runwell Rd. SHortly you will reach the Rettendon Turnpike, there take the 3rd exit onto A132/Burnham Rd, this will take you Shaw Farm roundabout.

From Chelmsford

Leave Chelmsford on the A1114/Southend Rd. Drive under the A12 and exit onto the A130 (signposted Basildon/Southend/A130/A127/South Woodham Ferrers/A132). Take the exit toward Wickford/South Woodham Ferrers/A132, then at the roundabout (Hawk Hill Roundabout) take the first exit. This is quickly followed by the Rettendon Turnpike where you take the 4th exit onto A132/Burnham Rd, this will take you Shaw Farm roundabout.

From Maldon

Take the A414 out of Maldon towards Danbury. At Oak Corner, take the 2nd exit onto B1418/Southend Rd. Continue to follow B1418 through Bicknacre and Woodham Ferrers. At the bottom of the hill you'll come to a roundabout joining the B1012 which runs along the northern edge of South Woodham Ferrers.

Within Woodham

When coming into South Woodham from Chelmsford via the Rettendon Turnpike, approach the Shaw Farm roundabout, go straight over (2nd exit), then proceed 200 yards to the next roundabout and take the 2nd exit. Carry on for approximately 1/2 mile then take the 2nd exit at the roundabout and enter Ferrers Rd (you are now entering South Woodham Ferrers). Carry on over the railway bridge, and the entrance into Saltcoats Park is on your left. Please note that there are limited spaces. Please try and avoid parking on the grass verge on Ferrers Road as this can cause congestion for local residents. Alternative parking can be found at Compass Gardens. To get there go past the entrance to Saltcoats Park, continue until you reach a roundabout, take the first exit (left), continue for about 100 yards and Compass Gardens entrance is on your left. There is ample parking here and you can walk across the playing field to Saltcoats Park.
